A flower blooming is a powerful symbol of growth, transformation, and the unfolding of potential. Emerging from bud to full bloom, it reflects the beauty and vulnerability of expansion. This body of work marks Júlia’s first collection created entirely from locally gathered natural pigments. By collecting earth, stones, insects, and plants from her landscape, she documents her personal journey through the language of color, exploring themes of transformation, resilience, and the courage to embrace new beginnings.

Her natural paintings undergo a process she refers to as blooming, where the pigments settle into their final form and unique patterns, evoking the memory of the earth. She believes that the earth holds its own sense of memory, and this is reflected in the way her handmade paints shift and transform as they dry. This blooming process symbolizes the organic movement and subtle changes inherent in the natural materials she works with.
