BROTO
Created with pigments gathered from LA landscapes before the fires, Júlia’s BROTO COLLECTION, named for the Portuguese word for “sprout”, honors the land’s resilience and continual change.
IN BLOOM
In her IN BLOOM collection, Júlia gives her pigments space to grow on their own, echoing a personal journey of letting go and moving into abstraction, much like a flower turning toward light. This marks her first abstract body of work after years of representational practice, guided by restraint and simplicity.
SPRITES
Drawing from memories of watching storms as a child, Júlia captures the sudden, ethereal light of sprites, rare electrical flares that appear before thunderstorms, as a metaphor for resilience and the beauty that emerges from turbulence.
